My name is Bryan Uebel, and I have been the Senior Pastor here at My CCF Church since November 2014. At an early age, I felt God calling me to ministry while attending a camp meeting in Southern Indiana. It was there that I answered the call of the Holy Spirit and gave my life to the Lord. Shortly after, I went to a Christian school and then college, where I received a Bachelor of Religious Education degree in Pastoral Ministry. I wish I could say that I never strayed from God, but I did for many years.
During this time, I joined the military and served from 1992-1996. By the time I left, I was a Sergeant in the Army Infantry and had been stationed at a small base in California. I did not deploy overseas – God was watching over me. I stayed in California after I left the military and worked in retail management for different companies and was able to get custody of my oldest daughter, Brooklynn. It was in California that I met my wife Maria. We have been married since 2004 and have been blessed with two daughters, Kassandra and Elizabeth, and four granddaughters. In 2012, God stopped me in my tracks and turned me around. I rededicated my life to Him and have been serving in ministry ever since.
Favorite Verse:
Psalm 27:4
This is my heart’s desire –
“One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.”

Curt has been walking with the Lord for over five decades and cannot remember a time when he did not trust Jesus as his Savior. Wendy has known the Lord for over 30 years and is totally sold out to Him. Curt received the Lord as a child and had a call to serve the Lord from that point on. His desire as a young boy was to go into ministry and become a pastor. There is no greater joy than to share the eternal truths of Christ with others and to help grow them in their faith; this is the driving passion behind the ministry Curt and Wendy do.
They have served in ministry from parking cars, managing a church bookstore, and a thriving singles ministry, led a Bible College extension, and more. Curt was an intern pastor, then was ordained as a pastor. He has served both as associate and senior pastor. Wendy has served in women’s ministry, as well as having the gift of administration. She organizes events and team schedules, as well as having a strong gift of discernment and is a wonderful prayer warrior
Worship ministry has been a part of their lives and ministry for many years. Helping others to freely worship the Lord growing others in their abilities as worshippers is of critical import to them both. Worship is a part of teaching, and the songs let people know the Lord and express to Him their love in very tangible ways. Communal worship is a place where the Holy Spirit can move among His people heal, encourage, strengthen, and reveal the Lord to them in ways that are unique to the area of worship.
The Lord has been moving in the worship ministry at My Crossroads Christian Fellowship in wonderful ways. The team is becoming more cohesive, they are working hard to improve their skills to serve the Lord and others with increasing excellence. We have seen such growth as the Lord knits hearts together and fills the entire team with increasing love for one another. No matter if their service is on the platform or in the sound/media booth, our worship team is growing in their love of the Lord and their ministry by the Spirit. Crossroads is a place where the priority is teaching the Word of God, being led by the Spirit, fellowship of the saints, and being a church of prayer. All of these make My Crossroads Christian Fellowship a place where they can continue to grow and serve.
After coming to faith as an adult, Pat Simmons felt a deep calling to step forward and help fill the need for Bible teachers in the very church where he was saved. What started as a personal response soon blossomed into a profound passion to share the gospel as widely and effectively as possible. Inspired and guided by the pastor who led him to Christ, Pat found himself growing steadily in both knowledge and enthusiasm, surrounded by wonderful mentors who provided invaluable support and encouragement along the way.
Outside of the church, Pat dedicates his time as a longtime volunteer with the American Red Cross Disaster Service, serving as a Spiritual Care Regional Lead and supporting various disaster response roles. This work allows him to offer comfort, hope, and spiritual care during people's most challenging times. Through the grace and guidance of God, Pat's teaching ministry has impacted both new and seasoned believers alike, providing foundational and advanced understanding of the gospel and practical tools for effectively sharing their faith. His ultimate goal is to empower the community to "make disciples who make disciples," deepening everyone's personal relationship with Jesus Christ and equipping each person for meaningful spiritual growth.
Both Jason and Michael Dawn were born and raised in a small mountain town in Colorado. They grew up together and eventually became a family of six dedicated to sharing the truth of God and embracing family life to the fullest. They often spend time together, enjoying things like horseback riding, off-roading, camping, bowling, playing pool, and family game nights. In 2022, the Vavrina family knew it was time to move out of Colorado in order to spend more time together.
They moved to Arizona that year, although it was a difficult and huge move, it led them to My Crossroads Christian Fellowship and to finding their faith. Jason and Michael Dawn began to feel that God had a plan for them with the church, specifically with the kid’s ministry. In the Spring of 2024, God opened the door for them to put their passion to work with the kid’s ministry, where their love for children and their desire to share that they are loved and have a purpose could come to fruition. Jason and Michael Dawn are dedicated to help the kids grow closer to God and take steps towards finding their faith. At times it took their whole family stepping up to help wherever they could; God’s plan was not just to have Jason and Michael Dawn lead the kid’s ministry, it is also to strengthen the Vavrina family as a whole and continues to shape them daily for His purpose to serve others.
Randy and Linda Brannan joined My CCF with a keen eye and a servant’s heart. From their very first visit, they noticed the church and fellowship hall were in need of aesthetic improvements—and felt called to lend their hands and hearts to the cause. With previous experience in maintenance and a strong desire to enhance the beauty and functionality of the campus, they quickly became vital members of the team.
Beyond their contributions to MyCCF, Randy and Linda love to travel, camp, build, craft, and lend a helping hand to their neighbors. Their lives reflect a deep commitment to both community and creativity.
As more volunteers joined the maintenance team, the couple could feel the momentum and excitement grow. The Brannans continue to be part of a welcoming group, joyfully sharing the love of Christ through every improvement and act of service.
“We just saw where help was needed—and knew God gave us the tools to get to work.” – Randy & Linda Brannan
